Environmental & Social Responsibility

Building a More Ethical, Sustainable Future with PromoSpark

1. A Message from Our Founder

At PromoSpark, we believe sustainability and social responsibility are not just obligations — they are opportunities to build trust, drive innovation, and contribute to a better world. Our goal is to create a positive impact through every branded product we produce, every partner we work with, and every decision we make.

As a registered member of SEDEX and an active participant in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, PromoSpark is committed to meeting internationally recognised standards for ethical, social, and environmental practices.

2. Our Vision for Sustainability & CSR

Our vision is to embed responsible, sustainable thinking across every part of our operations — from sourcing and supply chain management, to product design, employee wellbeing, and environmental impact. We strive to align with global frameworks, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals, SEDEX (SMETA pillars), and the EcoVadis assessment criteria.

3. Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint across key areas:

  • Energy & Emissions
We aim to reduce emissions by optimising freight, reducing electricity use, and working with suppliers who offer carbon-reduced solutions.
  • Materials
Wherever possible, we offer products made with recycled, FSC-certified, biodegradable, or low-impact materials.
  • Waste Management
We actively reduce, reuse, and recycle across all office and fulfilment operations.
  • Packaging
We minimise unnecessary packaging and are moving toward recyclable or compostable options for outbound shipments.

4. Social Responsibility

PromoSpark is committed to providing a fair, safe, and inclusive workplace, and ensuring the same standards are upheld across our supply chain.

  • Labour Standards
We uphold the International Labour Organization (ILO) core conventions, with zero tolerance for forced labour, child labour, or discrimination.
  • Health & Safety
We conduct risk assessments and provide a safe work environment for our team and contractors.
  • Employee Development
Ongoing skills training and professional growth are core to how we invest in our people.
  • Diversity & Inclusion
We support equal opportunity in hiring, promotion, and pay.

5. Ethical Governance

Integrity is at the heart of how we operate.

  • Anti-Bribery & Corruption
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy on bribery, kickbacks, or unethical payments.
  • Whistleblower Policy
Our confidential reporting channel allows staff and partners to report misconduct or concerns.
  • Privacy & Information Security
We protect sensitive data in compliance with the Australian Privacy Act and relevant global standards, including GDPR.

6. Sustainable Supply Chain

We actively work with suppliers who demonstrate responsible environmental and labour practices.

  • All suppliers must agree to our Supplier Code of Conduct.
  • We prioritise suppliers with SEDEX membership, EcoVadis ratings, or equivalent certifications (e.g., ISO14001, FSC).
  • New suppliers are screened for risk, and we maintain a supplier evaluation and feedback log to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Preference is given to partners offering circular, low-impact, or ethical product solutions.

7. Stakeholder Engagement

We believe transparency and collaboration are key.

  • Client Transparency
We provide clear environmental and ethical product options for each project.
  • Community Contribution
We seek opportunities to support local initiatives, charities, and social enterprises.
  • Employee Involvement
Feedback is welcomed through our internal communications, reviews, and CSR discussions.

8. Measurement & Continuous Improvement

We regularly review our sustainability goals and policies.
Key initiatives include:

  • Maintaining and improving our EcoVadis rating
  • Monitoring and reducing waste, emissions, and energy use
  • Continuing staff training on ethics, environment, and safety
  • Expanding our offer of sustainable merchandise and packaging

This Environmental & Social Responsibility Policy applies to all operations under the PromoSpark brand, which operates as a trading name of Premedia Marketing Production Services Pty Ltd.
